Survival Ministries

In 1972, Rev. Frank and Shirley Gill, with others, began the Full Gospel Missionary Fellowship Church on Betty Road in Perris. In the beginning, the church provided what it could for those in need who came to its doors as other churches in the area were doing the same. Then in 1979, a cooperative effort emerged as the Full Gospel Missionary Fellowship became the center of a combined effort to bring relief to those in need of the Perris Valley and surrounding areas. With record keeping and warehouse distribution capabilities, the non-profit Survival Ministries was born. Then in 1980, the Perris Clothes Closet, a work founded in the city of Perris in the late 1960’s and designed to provide clothing for those in need was relocated to the church grounds and became part of Survival Ministries and the Lighthouse Community Church. And through its donations, funds are produced to purchase food and enable Survival Ministries to continue its mission in the community.
For over 30 years Survival Ministries has served those in need of the Perris community. It has been our honor. More importantly, as Survival ministries in an extension of the Lighthouse Community Church, it is our fellowship’s desire to continue meeting the nutritional needs of our surrounding community and its spiritual needs as well. As a family of believers in God, our goal is to be a source of help and comfort not only to the natural body but to the everlasting soul as well. So in the same spirit of giving that has been the cornerstone of Survival Ministries, we wish to extend an invitation to our community to come and join us in fellowship. We are bilingual in speech but one family in Christ. Remember, man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God (Matt 4:4).
